Last week, CFO, Vice President and Treasurer Don Myers passed away, following a long and courageous battle with cancer. His career at AU, which spanned more than four decades, had a profound impact on Â鶹´«Ã½. His greatest accomplishments are noted in a tribute on the AU home page.

Next week, we will have occasion to celebrate Don's life, honor his legacy, and express our condolences to his family through visitation hours and a memorial service. On Wednesday, January 22, Don's wife, Margie, and his family will receive visitors at at 5130 Wisconsin Avenue, NW, from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Condolences may also be expressed in the online guest book. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the Don Myers Memorial Fund at Â鶹´«Ã½. On Thursday, January 23, at 3 p.m., a memorial service will be held at at 3401 Nebraska Avenue, NW. Parking will be available in AU's Nebraska Avenue parking lot, across the street.

A reception will follow at the University Club in the Mary Graydon Center on campus.

I know Margie and members of Don's family appreciate the support of his friends and colleagues. It means a great deal.
